How We Work

We follow a clear, structured process with every client — from the first conversation to the monthly review after launch. No surprises. No guessing. Just a straightforward way of working that consistently delivers results.

Typical project: 4–8 weeks
Weekly updates throughout
Fixed pricing. No hidden fees

Good Work Comes From a Good Process.

Most digital agencies in Nigeria operate like a black box. You brief them, you wait, you get a deliverable, you hope for the best. That is not how we work.

We believe you should know exactly what is happening at every stage of your project. What we are doing this week, why we are doing it, what comes next, and how we are measuring success. Not because we are obligated to tell you — because it produces better results when the client and the agency are genuinely aligned.

The process below is how every project at TalkGlitz runs. From a small business website to a full digital marketing retainer — the stages are the same. The depth varies. The discipline does not.

From First Call to Ongoing Results

Here is exactly what happens when you work with TalkGlitz — in the order it happens.

01
Week 1

Discovery Call

Every engagement starts with a conversation — not a sales pitch. We want to understand your business, your customers, your goals, and the specific challenge you are trying to solve before we suggest anything.

This is a free 30-minute call. You do not need to prepare extensively. Just come ready to talk about your business and what you want to achieve online. We will ask the questions that matter.

What we cover in this call:

  • Your business, your market, and your current digital presence
  • What you have tried before and what has or has not worked
  • Your goals — traffic, leads, sales, awareness
  • Your timeline and approximate budget
  • Whether we are the right fit for what you need
Outcome A shared understanding of your situation and a decision on whether to move forward together.
02
Week 1–2

Proposal & Scope

After the discovery call, we put together a detailed written proposal. This is not a generic template with your name inserted at the top. It reflects what we discussed and is specific to your situation.

The proposal outlines exactly what we will do, in what order, how long it will take, and what it will cost. We do not hide costs in small print or leave deliverables vague. If there is something we need you to provide or decide, it is in the proposal.

What the proposal includes:

  • Scope of work — every deliverable, clearly stated
  • Timeline with milestone dates
  • Fixed price breakdown — what you are paying for and why
  • What we need from you and when
  • Terms of engagement in plain language
Outcome A signed agreement and a clear roadmap for the project — no ambiguity on either side.
03
Week 2–3

Research & Strategy

Before we design anything or write a single line of code, we do our homework. We research your competitors, your target audience, and the specific search and social environment your business operates in.

For web design projects, this means understanding the user journeys that matter most and the conversion points we need to optimise. For SEO and digital marketing, it means keyword research, competitor analysis, and identifying the gaps and opportunities in your current position.

What research covers:

  • Competitor analysis — what they are doing, where the gaps are
  • Audience research — who your customers are and how they behave online
  • Keyword research — the exact terms your Nigerian customers search
  • Technical audit of your existing website (where applicable)
  • Channel and content opportunity mapping
Outcome A strategy document you can read, question, and approve before any execution begins.
04
Week 3–4

Design & Prototype

For web design and development projects, you see exactly what you are getting before we write code. We produce wireframes first — the structure and layout of every key page — then move into visual design mockups. You review both.

We do not start building until you have approved the design. That approval is meaningful — it means you are satisfied with the direction and we are aligned on the outcome. Changes at the design stage are easy. Changes after development is complete are expensive and slow.

What this stage produces:

  • Mobile and desktop wireframes for key pages
  • Full visual design mockups — colours, typography, layout, imagery
  • Interactive prototype for user experience testing
  • Feedback rounds with clear revision tracking
  • Design sign-off before build begins
Outcome An approved, pixel-accurate design you are happy with — and confidence before a line of code is written.
05
Week 4–7

Build & Optimise

This is where we do the actual construction. For websites, we build in WordPress using clean, semantic code — no page builder bloat, no unnecessary plugins, no shortcuts that will cause problems later. Every build is tested across devices and screen sizes throughout the process, not just at the end.

SEO is not an afterthought. Title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, schema markup, image optimisation, XML sitemap, Google Search Console connection — all of it is in place before the site goes live. We also test page speed specifically on mobile data connections relevant to Nigeria, because that is where your users are.

What we focus on during build:

  • WordPress development — custom theme, clean code, no bloat
  • Mobile-first responsive implementation
  • Core Web Vitals and page speed optimisation
  • Full on-page SEO setup across every page
  • Payment gateway integration — Paystack, Flutterwave
  • Security hardening and SSL configuration
  • Cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Google Analytics 4 and Search Console setup
Outcome A staging site you can review thoroughly before anything goes live on your domain.
06
Week 7–8

Review & Launch

Before anything goes live, you get thorough access to a staging environment to review the complete build. We work through your feedback in a structured way — gathering all revision requests, prioritising them, and addressing them before we set a launch date.

The launch itself is managed by us. We handle the domain migration, DNS changes, SSL activation, and any redirects from old pages to new ones. We monitor closely in the first 24–48 hours after launch and remain available to respond to anything that needs attention.

Launch checklist includes:

  • Full staging site review with client
  • All revisions addressed and confirmed
  • Pre-launch technical checklist (50+ points)
  • Domain migration and DNS management
  • 301 redirects from old URLs where needed
  • Post-launch monitoring for 48 hours
  • Handover documentation and CMS training
Outcome A live website or campaign you are confident in — launched correctly, with everything in place.
07
Ongoing

Measure, Report & Improve

A launched website or a live campaign is the start, not the finish. The most valuable work often happens in the months after launch — when we have real data to work with and real user behaviour to analyse and optimise around.

Every month, clients on a retainer receive a written report covering performance against their goals, what changed in the previous period, what we are doing next, and any recommendations for the strategy. The report is written in plain language — no dashboards full of numbers that do not connect to anything that matters to your business.

What ongoing reporting covers:

  • Organic traffic and keyword ranking changes
  • Leads and conversions from digital channels
  • Paid advertising performance and spend efficiency
  • Social media growth and engagement
  • Website performance and technical health
  • Recommendations and next-period priorities
Outcome A clear, monthly picture of how your digital presence is performing and what we are doing to keep improving it.

You Are Never Left Wondering What Is Happening.

Communication is part of the service — not something that only happens when there is a problem.

Weekly Updates

Every active project gets a brief written update every week — what was completed, what is in progress, and what is planned for the following week. Short, factual, and always on time.

Monthly Reports

Retainer clients receive a full monthly performance report. Written by a person who understands your business, not auto-generated from a dashboard. Clear metrics, clear context, clear next steps.

24-Hour Response

Any message or question you send to your account contact gets a response within one business day. Usually faster. You will not be left waiting to hear back on something that matters to your business.

One Point of Contact

You deal with one person at TalkGlitz who knows your account. Not a rotating cast of junior staff or a ticketing system. One relationship, maintained properly, for the duration of your engagement.

Proactive Problem Flagging

If something is not working as expected — a campaign underperforming, a technical issue, a ranking drop — we tell you about it and present options before you have to ask. No waiting until the monthly report to find out.

Everything in Writing

Decisions made verbally get confirmed in writing. Scope changes get documented. Nothing important exists only in someone's memory or in a WhatsApp message that cannot be found six months later.

Lagos, Nigeria

Our Office Is in Lagos.
So Is Our Focus.

Everything we do is informed by a genuine understanding of the Nigerian market. We are not applying a global playbook — we are working from the same city as many of our clients, with firsthand knowledge of the digital environment they are competing in.

When you work with TalkGlitz, you are working with a team that is present, reachable, and genuinely invested in the Nigerian business community. That proximity shapes how we think, how we communicate, and how we deliver.

What We Need From You

A project runs smoothly when both sides hold up their end of it. Here is what we rely on from our clients — and why it matters.

  • Timely feedback

When we share a design, a draft, or a deliverable for review, a prompt response keeps the project on schedule. Extended delays on your side can push timelines and occasionally affect costs.

  • Access to what we need

Logos, brand assets, photographs, login credentials, existing marketing materials — we will tell you exactly what we need and when. Having these ready avoids unnecessary delays.

  • One decision-maker

Conflicting feedback from multiple people on the same side slows projects significantly. Ideally, one person on your team acts as the primary contact who consolidates feedback before sending it to us.

  • Realistic expectations on timelines

Good digital work takes time. We will always give you a realistic timeline — but rushing a build or a strategy to meet an arbitrary deadline rarely produces the best outcome for the business.

  • Openness to recommendations

We will sometimes recommend an approach that differs from your initial idea. When that happens, we explain why. We ask that you engage with those recommendations before dismissing them — they usually come from data or experience.

Our Commitments to You

  • Fixed pricing — no scope creep without your agreement
  • Weekly updates throughout every project
  • A named contact who knows your account
  • Honest reporting — good news and bad
  • Recommendations backed by data and reasoning
  • All work delivered on the agreed timeline
  • Post-launch support included as standard

Common Questions About Working With Us

Something not covered here? Ask us directly.

Do I need to know what I want before contacting you?

No. Many of our best clients come to us knowing only that their digital presence is not working as well as it should. The discovery call is designed specifically to help us understand your situation and help you articulate what you actually need. You do not need to arrive with a brief — that is part of what we help you develop.

What happens if I want changes after the project is signed off?

Minor amends within the agreed scope are handled as part of the project. Significant new requirements or changes in direction are scoped separately as a change request, with a clear cost and timeline implication before anything is done. We never do additional work without your explicit agreement on what it will cost.

Will I be able to update my own website after it is built?

Yes. We build on WordPress specifically because it gives you full control of your content without needing a developer. We include a training session as part of every website project so you and your team know how to add pages, update text, add images, and manage your blog. We also provide written documentation as a reference.

Do you work with clients outside Lagos?

Yes. While our office is in Lagos, we work with clients across Nigeria — Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, and other cities. We also work with Nigerian businesses abroad. All project work is managed remotely with no loss of communication quality or service standard. Video calls, WhatsApp, and email keep everything running smoothly regardless of location.

What payment terms do you work on?

For project-based work, we typically require a 50% deposit before work begins and the remaining 50% at the point of launch. For larger projects we can arrange milestone-based payment schedules. Monthly retainers are billed in advance at the start of each month. All pricing is in Nigerian Naira and we accept bank transfer, Paystack, and other standard payment methods.

What if I am not happy with the work?

We include structured review rounds at every key stage of a project for exactly this reason — so that issues are identified and addressed before they become larger problems. If there is ever a concern about the quality or direction of work, we want to hear about it immediately. We would rather address a problem early than have a client leave the engagement dissatisfied.

The First Step Is a 30-Minute Call. No Charge, No Obligation.

Tell us about your business and what you are trying to achieve. We will tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.
